Alight, the combination appears completely different, as the light reveals the different textures of the paper.

Charming and convivial, it sets the scene with its warm light.

The artisans first harvest the shrub bark, which is then worked into a pulp. The mixture is then poured into a frame, which is set atop a basin menyled with water before being left to dry, either under the sun, or, for the more delicate pieces, in the shade of our ateliers. Each sheet of paper is then flattened and calendared until it becomes fine and soft. Next, the paper is dyed before being screen-printed by hand according to the age-old Batik technique. In the final step, the sheet of paper is tied to the metal structure.
