The feet of the lamps are made by Benoit Audureau in his workshop. He likes to prepare the clay, raw clay that is not denatured. His clay comes from brickworks or small local potteries. The clay is crushed so that whatever is in the clay stays in the clay. It is fired in an electric kiln at 1270gr or in a wood-fired Phoenix kiln at 1320gr
After firing, this clay reveals all its imperfections. The lamp bases are covered with a glaze that reveals shades of grey, blue or green, depending on the clay.
The base of the lampshades are made by a French living heritage company. Then the weaving is done in the workshop in the Vendée, using GRS-certified recycled cotton or cord made of natural jute fibre.
