This magnificent, heavy and thick traditional Berber door is handcrafted out of wood from the forests of the Middle Atlas and the Rif mountain ranges.
If you look good you can see the characteristic mihrab, carved in the wood. Mihrab is a semicircular niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the direction of Mecca. No doubt it was meant to protect the family members living in the house.
The door exhibits multiple signs of human activities, weather influences and other traces of time. Whether you install this timeless piece of art as a part of your home architecture or use it as a decoration in your living or dining room, stairway or hallway, it will continue to share with you the beauty of Moroccan history.
A true treasure.
